Well, here we are, the Silicon Valley of India. Definitely, Bangalore is one of the most technologically developed cities in Asia. IT industries are top priority here. No taxes on software, lot of email centres all around the city, etc... There is no stopping them.

The buildings here are very well maintained in comparison to even the metropolitian cities. The surroundings are very peaceful and people are very simple. The only problem faced out of this peacefulness is that you never know what events have passed by you. :o) The one other thing you should keep in mind is that a lot of people are slightly conservative in dressing style and thinking. So, if you are very western, no problem. If you are skimpily dressed up, lots of problems. You are going to be the apple of the eye for every passer by.

One of the major problems faced in this city are the roads. They are literally atrocious to lay wheels upon. All the officials keep promising the people that some work shall be done soon until their term ends. The voices of the people who face danger every day driving onthese roads filled with potholes, are ignored. This is a vicious circle.

Bangalore basically was a hill station. It attracts a lot of tourists and has a very cosmopolitian atmosphere. But due to its geographical structure and poor city planning, It is very possible for you to get lost in case you try taking short-cuts. An advantage here is that a lot of taxi drivers know english, hindi, kanada & tamil.( They are very linguistic) So u can always find your way out by just stepping forward and asking them for directions.
